In addition to the existing 14mm T3.1, 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5, 85mm T1.5, and the recently added 135mm T2.2 lenses, Samyang just announced the brand new 16mm T2.6 cine lens. This launch expands the XEEN lineup to seven lenses already covering a decent amount of focal lengths ranging from 14mm to 135mm. The 16mm features an ultra-wide 106.9 degrees field of view, 11 aperture blades, and a 114mm front diameter. Just like the other XEEN lenses, the brand new 16mm T2.6 Lens covers not only APS-C and APS-H sensors, but it’s also compatible with Full-Frame cameras like the Sony A7s II. The 16mm T2.6 XEEN also features the same robust and high-quality aluminium construction with pitch geared rings for aperture and focus.
Beyond that, the lens is available in five different mounts including PL, EF, F, E, and MFT along with two separate focus scales – metric and imperial units. Again, the new 16mm T2.6 is aimed at seasoned professionals who want to achieve their creative vision by providing them with outstanding build quality and resolving power for 4K+ resolutions.
