Aputure is billing their newest mic as their “first broadcast grade digital microphone”. The new A.Lyra features premium digital audio converter technology for a more organic and natural analog sound. The A.Lyra also supports 24 bit recording at up to 96 KHz sampling rate, in addition to the more common 44.1KHz and 48 KHz broadcast standard.
The unit is also equipped with a Lighting port, USB-C interface in addition to a 3.5mm headphone jack for real-time monitoring. The A.Lyra supports the iPhone 6, 6S, 6 Plus and the latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and basically any iOS device with iOS 9.3.3 and and higher. Monitoring and audio adjustments can be done via various third party apps such as Apogee’s Metarecorder and Tape from Focusrite.
The A.lyra is made of aircraft-grade aluminium and brass to accommodate long-term use. The A.Lyra can turn your phone, tablet or computer into a mobile professional recording suite while providing a reliable human voice recording solution.
