In case the Zeiss ExoLens system seems a bit too expensive for your budget or taste, budget camera gear/accessories maker Kamerar have just announced they will be releasing soon the “world’s first dual-optics lens solution for the iPhone 7 Plus”. With the increasing imaging power of smart phones these days it is no wonder they are quickly replacing point-and-shoot cameras and spawning a little accessories industry making different lenses and adapters in the process. After months of research and development, Kamerar are eager to bring to the world – their patent pending Kamerar ZOOM Lens Kit for the iPhone 7 Plus. The Kamerar ZOOM kit comes with 2 sets of lenses: a dual Fisheye/Telephoto lens and the dual Macro/Zoom lens.
This dual lens optics set is a collaboration between Kamerar and Ztylus Innovations, who applied their expertise in developing the optics, while Kamerar designed the housing for the lens kit.
It’s worth to point out that from the demo and the photos you can clearly see that you’d have to do away with your existing iPhone case for the specially developed full-body case by Kamerar, which features custom made grooves to fit the 2 x dual lenses.
Installation seems to be a breeze, all you have to do is just snap the case onto your phone and slide the lens of your choice into the custom designed Kamerar ZLK -7PLUS case for the iPhone 7 Plus. The Kamerar ZOOM Lens Kit offers full body protection and allows for full access to all of your ports.
The Macro Zoom lens can be used with both lenses on the iPhone 7 Plus, thus giving you more creative freedom with your photography or video. According to Kamerar, “the Fisheye and Telephoto lenses can greatly extend your optical zoom range and capture a variety of shots that you couldn’t achieve with just your phone.”
Pricing and availability has not been made available yet, however with CES 2017 approaching fast in early January, I have a feeling we’ll know quite soon.
