As with pretty much all new pro cameras announced in the first half of the year such as the Panasonic EVA1 and the Canon C200, you are guaranteed to get new accessories by third party manufacturers at some stage before said cameras start shipping. The C200 is currently shipping (at least the C200B version), and popular Netherlands-based Vocas have some really neat new accessories such as a new base plate, cage and other bits made specifically for the Canon C200.
Very often, as in the case of the original Canon C200 viewfinder bracket, the original camera viewfinder bracket is not adjustable in forward and backward direction, which can become a problem when using the camera on the shoulder. This is why, Vocas will be making a complete C200 viewfinder solution based on a NATO rail, as shown in the 3D renders below.
- NEW Viewfinder Bracket
The new Vocas 15 mm viewfinder adapter (pictured below) is currently priced at €90, fits the original Canon EOS C200 top handle directly, while providing a 15mm horizontal rod to mount any NATO rail based accessory.
Vocas 15mm viewfinder adapter (Canon C200)
The 15mm viewfinder bracket work together with the new Vocas viewfinder bracket (0700-0080) for the Canon C200 (priced at €325) to provide a rigid and stable mounting solution for the camera’s LCD and prevent twisting of the monitor. An adjustable friction mechanism is integrated to tilt the LCD up and down.

- Top cheese plate and handgrip kit
The new Vocas top cheese plate (0350-1320) for the Canon EOS C200 has integrated holes for 15 mm rails. Both the original C200 handgrip and the C300 Mark II Vocas Top Handgrip Low (0350-1405) can be mounted to this cheese plate. A top handgrip kit designed for the Canon EOS C200 (0350-1120) consisting of the top cheese plate, top handgrip low and the viewfinder adapter is available as well.
- VOCAS USBP-15 MK II C200 Base Plate
Vocas developed a dedicated Canon EOS C200 camera adapter plate with four attachment points which gives the camera more stability. The Vocas dedicated camera adapter plate provides the Canon EOS C200 compatibility with the USBP-15 MKII (0350-2200) and all the other products of the Vocas Sliding System.
To make things easier and less confusing around the Vocas Universal Base plate system, Vocas have created a special version of the USBP-15 MKII base plate that includes this new camera adapter plate for the C200, so it is ready to go right out of the box! This USBP-15 MKII for Canon EOS C200 has item code: 0350-2202 (pictured above)
- VOCAS Cage for Canon C200
To provide further stability to your rig as it gets bigger with more accessories, Vocas have a cage for the C200 with a standard rosette on the operator side.
The C200 cage from Vocas features 4x contact points underneath the camera to eliminate all play and movement. The Vocas light weight camera cage for the C200 (0600-0050) connects to the Vocas top cheese plate and the Vocas camera adapter plate on both sides of the camera. The cage is currently priced at €355 and as with all new C200 accessories from Vocas expected to start shipping soon.
