Dear Sir/Madam,
Hello there. The relatively new Go Pro Hero 4 Black, can record in 4K. Can you let me know if the HDMI connection from the Hero 4 can record uncompressed video on the Atoms Shogun. Or at least, be used as a monitor, to be able to see what the camera is recording, as it does not have a LCD screen on it’s back, although a small proprietary one can be purchased on the back of it. Mainly, I am wanting to know if the Hero 4 Black can be
used with the Atomos Shogun.

According to GoPro: – For live feed, HERO4 cameras output uncompressed video over HDMI output. For video playback, video is stored compressed on camera but upon playback video is uncompressed and output over HDMI.
Q: Does HERO4 Black play back 4K content to a 4K TV through HDMI?
No, it does not. 4k content will play back at 1080-60 on a 4K TV via HDMI.
