ARRI and Angelbird have just come up with another enticing product for seasoned professionals predominately shooting with the ARRI AMIRA and ALEXA Mini cameras.
The ARRI Edition AV PRO AR 256 CFast 2.0 card has been designed and certified for use with these specific models and can be utilized for ProRes and MXF/ARRIRAW recording. Unfortunately, this excludes support for ALEXA XT, SXT (W), and LF cameras for the time being.
In essence, the ARRI Edition AV PRO AR 256 CFast 2.0 card was designed from scratch by Angelbird in close collaboration with ARRI. The unit uses a combination of enhanced thermally conductive material to provide superior heat dissipation from the chips, thus securing the electronic components against mechanical damage.
According to ARRI, this ensures extremely stable recording performance all the way across the storage space, making it a viable option for the ALEXA Mini or AMIRA cameras onboard recording. The ARRI Edition AV PRO AR 256 memory card by Angelbird is available exclusively from ARRI and authorized resellers around the globe.
