Inside the Sony ZV-1 you’ll find a 20.1MP 1″-type Exmor RS stacked CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor, with front-end LSI, which contributes to impressively fast performance along with wide-ranging sensitivity to suit working in a variety of conditions.
The hardware inside the new offering enables UHD 4K recording at up to 30fps and Full HD up to 120fps with no recording limit using XAVC S format up to 100MB/s. The available micro-HDMI port, on the other hand, can be used in conjunction with an external recorder or monitor for clean 4K video with 4:2:2 sampling.
For more precise control over the captured image, the Sony ZV-1 provides S-Log2 and HLG picture profiles that match up with Sony’s professional cine cameras for refined color, dynamic range, and detail when recording.
On top of that, the newcomer comes equipped with an impressive ZEISS 24-70mm-equivalent standard zoom lens, with a bright f/1.8-2.8 maximum aperture range.
For smooth footage, there’s an Active SteadyShot image stabilization that significantly reduces the appearance of camera shake for smoother takes while shooting handheld whereas Real-Time Eye AF and Real-Time Tracking allow for quick and precise focusing and subject tracking.
Other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm microphone port, dedicated HFR mode, Product Showcase Setting, Background Defocus function, Soft Skin Effect, and Face Priority Auto-Exposure, built-in Bluetooth and wireless connectivity, and more.
