ZHIYUN has announced their next-generation smartphone gimbal, known as the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4. The device is aimed at content creators and vloggers who want super quick mobile shooting with their smartphones.
With a redesigned arm and improved grip, the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 folds into a compact package that can fit into a pocket or the included carrying case. With a lightning-quick snap, the arm unfolds and the Smooth Q4 is ready to use.

The built-in extendable rod provides 215mm of additional length, giving videographers more options for capturing angles, or for that more natural selfie perspective. Users can also switch from a cinematic landscape to the vertical video style for TikTok with the touch of a button.

Furthermore, the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 has a double-sided magnetically attached fill light that operates at 5500K and four adjustable brightness levels.
The device also comes with a handy screw-on tripod attachment, so that the gimbal can be set down safely while not in use, or for a remote-operated option.

Moreover, the SMOOTH Q4 is designed with one-hand operation in mind, giving mobile filmmakers access to all the gimbals functions through the dedicated multi-function control wheel.

The ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 is controlled by ZHIYUN’s dedicated ZY Cami App, which offers Smart Templates BTW (behind the scenes) and tips on how to best move the camera to shoot within that template style. Users can compare footage side by side with the templates and refine the footage.
There are also app filers, Smart following, gesture control, and live streaming face tracking. The SMOOTH Q4 also has a panoramic mode, as well as filters, music, and visual effects. Battery life is rated at 15 hours with regular use and a charging time of 2.5 hours.
The retail price of the ZHIYUN SMOOTH Q4 is listed at an affordable $119, or $149 for the combo that comes with the tripod, protective bag, wrist strap, magnetic fill light, and a prime 1-year membership card.
