Adobe Launches Premiere for Mobile As Part of Fall Update

Adobe has launched a mobile version of Premiere specifically designed for content creators on the go.

Premiere for Mobile promises to be both free and powerful, featuring professional-level tools like sound effects, voiceover recording, a multi-track timeline, and an intuitive interface tailored for social media.

The interface resembles familiar editing software, offering a multi-track timeline that includes audio waveforms, unlimited video imports, 4K HDR support, and options for adding subtitles.

The app supports content creation for all major social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook Reels.

It automatically adjusts the aspect ratio and provides options to resize content for various platforms. Users will experience a clean image without ads or watermarks, paying only for the generative AI credits needed to create images.

Furthermore, Adobe offers a free custom library of creative assets that integrates with generative AI to produce custom videos in Firefly, enhancing the editing workflow.

Other features include frame-accurate editing, unlimited tracks for importing content, options to overlay and organize in the timeline, seamless background expansion using generative AI, advanced clip controls, support for Adobe Lightroom presets, and animated captions.

Availability

Adobe Premiere for Mobile is free and will be available starting September 30th for iPhone. However, there will be pay-as-you-go options for Adobe Firefly generative AI credits and expanded cloud storage capacity.

Although the app is not yet available for Android, Adobe announced it is in development and will likely be released in early 2026.

As a result, Adobe Premiere Rush will no longer be available for download, but existing users can continue using the app for a limited time to complete and back up their projects.
