GoPro make some amazing cameras that enable everyone to capture their adventure and favourite moments as easy as pressing a button, but they don’t make it easy trying to stay on top of their latest cameras. We’ve already lost track as to how many new camera they’ve announced this year, and they’ve just brought out a new entry level camera – the GoPro Hero+. This time the entry level gadget will retail for $199.99, which gets you Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easy sharing. The GoPro HERO+ is waterproof and mountable as well as compatible with GoPro’s vast array of mounts and accessories, and even though it’s resolution and frame rate max out at 1080p/60, the ability to capture 8MP stills as well as Time Lapse and Burst modes is present.
The GoPro HERO+ biggest feature is undoubtedly Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows it to connect with GoPro’s mobile app and benefit from convenient tools such as a Trim & Share feature that allows the user to quickly create and share short video clips across leading social media channels.
The new Hero+ is a step up from the other entry-level – GoPro Hero ($129) in that it adds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but retains the same form factor and features. In addition to the new camera, GoPro also announced a $100 price drop on the last camera they released – the Hero4 Session, which you can pickup now for $300.
