SmallHD just added a couple of more affordable monitors to their already awesome 700-series monitor lineup just two months ahead of NAB 2016. The 700-series was pretty lonely with just a singe monitor up until now – the very sharp and awesome SmallHD 702 Bright 1080p monitor with 3D LUT support powered by either Canon LP-E6 or Sony NP-F L series batteries. The two new monitors are called the SmallHD 702 Lite (HD-SDI/HDMI) and SmallHD 701 Lite (HDMI only) and feature slightly lower resolution and brightness, but otherwise retain the already familiar build quality, 7-inch form factor and image control features including 3D LUT support from the higher end SmallHD 702 Bright model.
The new monitors will come in at the very respectable $899 for the 702 Lite and $699 US for the 701 Lite and are expected to ship in the next week or so. Check out some pics and more features and specs below.

With these 2 new budget options, the SmallHD 700 series becomes even more attractive especially for mirrorless shooters or DSLR camera ops, who often struggle to focus and expose properly with the poor resolution and lack of proper tools on their built in camera displays.
