Blackmagic Design Announces Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR

Apple’s new “cheese grater” Mac Pro 2019 may have been the highlight of WWDC 2019, but there were other announcements of note from partner companies such as Blackmagic Design, who will be supporting the new pro machine from the Cupertino tech giant.

Earlier today, Blackmagic Design announced the new Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR, an advanced 8K DisplayPort monitoring solution with dual on screen scope overlays, HDR support, 33 point 3D LUTs and monitor calibration that’s been specifically designed for the professional film and television industry and to take advantage of a new generation of monitors such as the new Apple Pro Display XDR.

Blackmagic Design goes on to say that unlike basic converters, Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR can can utilise 3rd party calibration probes to accurately align connected displays for precise colour, which is paramount for a grading suite regardless of budget.
