Sigma fp Will Get 120fps CinemaDNG RAW Recording in Summer 2020

Well, it seems that all the rumors and speculations regarding the upgrade of the Sigma fp‘s recording capabilities turned out to be true. Sigma has just officially confirmed that its full-frame mirrorless camera will get indeed 120fps CinemaDNG 8-bit recording in Full HD with Firmware 2.0 that should be released in Summer 2020.

The highly-anticipated software will also improve the camera’s capability with the addition or improvement of a number of functions including CinemaDNG playback, cinemagraph functionality, HDR shooting, and movie recording with the Director’s Viewfinder. Meanwhile, the most impatient Sigma fp users will be able to take advantage of the imminent firmware 1.02 in just a few weeks. Sigma will be releasing firmware version 1.02 which will improve lens aberration and correct memory card errors when using certain SD cards. The imminent camera software is set for release on March 18, 2020.
