Lens maker TTArtisan has announced two new manual prime lenses, one a 35mm wide-angle F2 Aspherical Lens for the Leica M-Mount, and the other a fast “nifty fifty” fifty-millimeter full frame lens.

The 50mm F/2.0 lens is fully manual and is built with six elements in five groups, with two high refractive Index elements bringing up the rear. With a 10-blade aperture diaphragm, the 50mm F2 is designed to be fast and is able to suppress chromatic aberration with minimal distortion.
The lens is completely manual in focusing and has an aperture ring that has been clicked with 1/3 increments for adjusting the Fstop. TTArtisan also claims that the 50mm F2 has a standard portrait aspect ratio, which offers a field of view that is close to the natural field of view of the human eye.

The TTArtisan 50mm F/2.0, has a retail price of just $69, or $75 with a 42mm filter-mounted lens hood.
The lens is currently available for Nikon Z, Fujifilm X, Canon M, and Micro Four-thirds mounts. Pre-orders are also being taken for Sony E, Leica L, and Canon RF mount cameras.

The second lens being released is the TTArtisan 35mm F2 APO ASPH for Leica L-Mount lenses. This wider angle lens is built with 12 elements, organized in nine groups, with two extra-low dispersion elements and one aspherical element. Rated at F2.0 aperture speed, the lens features a 10-blade diaphragm for a nearly circular bokeh.
It has a minimum focusing distance of about 28 inches, has a 52mm front filter thread, and measures 2.4 inches (60mm) in diameter by three inches (77mm) long without the lens hood. It weighs about 18 ounces (510g). Though designed for the Leica M-Mount, the lens is also adaptable for a host of other mounts listed on the page.
