With the importance of Vlogging and Selfie Style videos to social media, Nikon has announced the new Z mount DX APS-C camera lens wide-angle focal length that is small and light in construction that enables a camera to easily be held at arm’s length.
The Nikkor Z DX 12-28mm F3.5-5.6 PZ VR zoom lens is powered by a linear STM stepper motor that doubles for both zooming and autofocus.

The lens can be zoomed using a lens ring, controls on the camera, or zoom buttons on Nikon’s optional Bluetooth remote, or through the SnapBridge smartphone app.
The lens provides a fast focusing zoom rate of .55 to 36 seconds with eleven separate speed settings for minute control.

Light and compact
Weighing in at only 7.3 ounces (207g), the 12-28mm PZ VR lens offers 4.5 stops of image stabilization for stable video and sharp images.
It has a close-up focusing distance of 7.44 inches (.19m) and has a fast-focusing STM motor to move from one subject to another with minimal focus on breathing or hunting.
