Wooden Camera has equipped the Blackmagic URSA Cine Large Format line with a set of well-designed accessories that enhance on-set workflows and improve performance.
These new accessories are individually available and compatible with both the 12K and 17K URSA Cinema Cameras.

There are two available systems: the Core System and the Elite Accessory System.
The Core System includes an improved Riser Plate, an ARCA Base Plate, and a Top Plate.
In contrast, the Elite Accessory System features a Riser Plate, an ARCA Base Plate, a Top Plate, an Extension Block, a Dual Rod Clamp on the Top Plate, and a standard 3/8”-16 thread Ultra Handle.

The Base Plate System prioritizes balance, facilitating quick transitions between locked-down, shoulder, and SteadiCam configurations.
Meanwhile, the Top Plate System offers numerous mounting points along the top and sides of the camera and is compatible with various Wooden Camera top handles and ultra handles.
Additionally, the Ultra Handle provides extra mounting ports for enhanced flexibility and accessory options.
Wooden Camera designed the accessories to maintain proper airflow around the camera’s circuitry, using a design similar to that of the ARCA Riser and Top Plate.
This design ensures that attached accessories do not obstruct airflow, helping to keep the camera cool during extended use, especially in warmer on-set conditions.
The Top Plate also allows easy access to the camera’s XLR ports and all switches and I/O connections.

“When we designed this system, we recognized that users need accessories that maintain the camera’s performance while allowing for customization on any cinema set,” says Dominick Aiello, Divisional Senior Director of Accessories at Creative Solutions for Wooden Camera.
“Rather than rushing to market, we carefully considered how to create accessories that promote efficiency and complement the camera’s unique build.”
For power options, Wooden Camera offers two different systems. The D-Box System replaces the stock B-Mount plates of the URSA Cine with a 16V Gold Mount Plus D-Box plate and Wedge.
It features two D-Tap Ports, two 2-pin 12V 5.8 amp connections, and dual 3-pin 24V 3.8 amp connections, all supporting run/stop commands. Designed for a perpendicular setup, this system keeps all battery plate accessories aligned.
The Gold Mount Plus Battery System enhances integration by combining Gold Mount Plus Batteries with mounting options for the camera.
The Wedge positions the battery perpendicular to the camera, optimizing balance and stability in the rig. It includes five 2/8” x 16 mounting points and a Molex power connector.
Pricing and Availability
The Wooden Camera Core Accessories System for the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K/17K is available for special order at a retail price of $749.
The larger Elite Accessory System retails for $1,199. The D-Box System and the Gold Mount Plus Battery System are priced at $1,099 and $249, respectively, and customers can also purchase all products individually.
Currently, all items are classified as special orders, with an expected shipping window of 2-4 weeks, except for the Gold Mount Plus Battery System, which is available for pre-order. There is no update yet on its shipping timeline.
