IBC 2016: Samyang Introduces Its Premium 85mm F/1.2 and 14mm F/2.4 Lenses

Budget optics maker Samyang unveils today its long-awaited Premium lens lineup by introducing the 85mm F1.2 and 14mm F2.4 manual focus lenses. According to the manufacturer, the Premium 85mm F1.2 is, by far, the brightest lens in existing full frame DSLR lenses. It has ten elements in seven groups, applying one aspherical lens and two high refractive lenses that minimise the aberration and unnecessary light dispersion. The Samyang 14mm F2.4, on the other hand, is equipped with the latest and most advanced optical technology among all Samyang lenses. It has 18 glasses in 14 groups including four different special optics: two aspherical lenses, one hybrid aspherical lens, two extra-low dispersion lenses and one high refractive lens promising impressive image quality throughout the entire frame.

Furthermore, both lenses feature aluminium alloy metal design with flowing curves that provides maximum durability and flawless functionality. As Samyang claims, the new Premium manual lenses boast unprecedented resolving power matched with 50 megapixels still and 8K video productions.
