The Australian audio gear maker RODE just introduced the Lavalier GO – a high-quality, professional-grade lavalier microphone designed to complement perfectly the RODE Wireless GO audio system as well as most recording devices with a 3.5mm TRS microphone input.
The new Lavalier GO features a discreet 4.5mm omnidirectional microphone with a wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response that according to RODE delivers crystal clear audio in all environments and is incredibly forgiving when it comes to placement on talent, allowing for greater flexibility in fast-paced situations.
All in all, Lavalier GO is an excellent solution for users who want the extra flexibility of a lapel mic. You can simply plug the unit into the transmitter, clip it onto your shirt and slip the transmitter into your pocket or clip it to your belt for super-compact wireless audio setup.
Furthermore, the Lavalier GO comes with a durable mounting clip for easy rigging, a foam pop filter for reducing harsh plosives and wind noise, and features Kevlar reinforced cabling built to last and take some abuse.
Besides the fact that the newcomer is designed to pair with the Wireless GO, it can work with virtually any recording device with a 3.5mm TRS mic input that supplies plug-in power, including the RODElink range of wireless transmitters. You can even tether it to your smartphone using the RØDE SC4 adapter.
