Blackmagic Camera Update 6.6 just dropped and it adds some really cool features that Blackmagic Design CEO Grant Petty previewed during the last Camera and Post-Production update in September.
Camera Update 6.6 adds support to the BMPCC 4K for the much-awaited anamorphic formats in Blackmagic RAW as well as a new Super 16mm sensor crop mode, allowing cinematographers to utilize a lot of really cool S16mm lenses from ages ago. In 4K 2.4:1 aspect ratio, the BMPCC 4K can now record in BRAW up to 75fps, which will make for some awesome slowed-down footage.
The new firmware update also includes support for a new on-screen horizon tool, new anamorphic de-squeeze options for both 2x and 1.33x, USB PTP control support, and custom frame guide ratios for both Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K models.
Camera Update 6.6 also adds support for the Blackmagic Pocket Camera Grip.
