Cameras + Formats is a very useful filmmaker’s companion app helping cinematographers and filmmakers worldwide by making sense out of most popular pro cameras out there, their codecs, frame rates, sensor sizes and all other important parameters.
Recently the app got a new update, and now the latest Cameras + Formats v3.5 update adds some of the freshest cameras to hit the market such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and some yet to do so such as the Sony FX9 and Canon C500 Mark II.
Other new notable additions to the camera range are the RED Ranger Helium and Gemini cameras that RED recently announced (read more here), the recently Netflix-approved Panasonic S1H hybrid full-frame mirrorless, and the Sigma fp compact full-frame mirrorless camera.

Cameras + Formats is for the time being, an iOS only app. As an Android user, I am hoping for an Android version soon, but that may take a while. iPhone users can head over to the iOS App Store and get Cameras + Formats for $9.99.
You can also follow them on Twitter for the latest developments around the app. Have you used Cameras + Formats before? If so, what do you think of this app? Let me know in the comments below.
