Teradek ACE 800 and Early Black Friday Deals

Industry-leading wireless video maker Teradek has launched the ACE 800, a new wireless transmission system for professional filmmakers looking for some extra range, but a more affordable price.

Some of you may recall, the Teradek ACE 500, which was announced at this year’s NAB Show; the ACE 500 is Teradek’s entry-level, budget oriented, zero-delay wireless video system for videographers, one-man band operations, and just about anyone shooting video after a no-frills, and reliable wireless video transmission system that doesn’t break the bank.

Well, the ACE 500 is neat and all, having a proper BNC connection in the form of SDI is a must for some productions. And for those seeking more than 500 feet of range, Teradek has come up with the Ace 800.

Much like the 500, the Teradek ACE 800 is an affordable, no-frills, zero delay wireless video system capable of sending a solid 1080p/60 signal to a monitor within 800 ft. range over the license-free 5Ghz band even in the most crowded environments thanks to Teradek’s intelligent RF design. The ACE 800 can multi-cast to up to 4 receivers and features an SDI In, an SDI Out, in addition to HDMI.

As with any more affordable gear, there are downside as to be expect, and one of them is that the Ace 800 is not compatible with any other Teradek zero-delay transmitters or receivers, including Bolt or Ace 500. This is a bit of a bummer, but worth to note for all of you out there thinking of mixing & matching.
