Viltrox has announced a limited edition three lens set of white lenses for FujiFilm X-Mount cameras that will be available to just 500 of Fuji’s faithful looking to spruce up the look of their camera. The three matte white F1.4 primes range from 23mm to 56mm and incorporate Fuji’s X-Mount.
Outside of its matte white finish with dark gray lettering and Viltrox branding, the lenses are identical in form and function to the standard black Viltrox X-mount lenses.
The lenses have eleven lens elements configured in ten groups, with an autofocus dynamic STM stepper motor function that is extra quiet and fast, and a 9-bladed iris aperture for a pleasant, garden variety bokeh. Fuji says that the X-mount enables the lens to be located deeper inside the camera, closer to the sensor, so that the resolution is increased across the frame.

The lenses are also fairly fast with an aperture of f1.4, and a focusing range of focusing range is from 0.3 meters to infinity for the 23mm, 0.4 meters to infinity for the 33mm, and 0.6 m to infinity for the 56mm. All three lenses are designed with a common filter size of 52mm.
The matte finish may be a bit interesting in appearance for bi-color Fujifilm X-Mount cameras, however, on the all-black models, they would blend in a bit sharper. There is also a limited edition two lens set available in red, with just the 23mm and 33mm lenses, though the outside color makes no impact on the quality of the images.

The lenses are available either piecemeal starting at $329, or as a set for $1,079. But as a limited edition, there are only 500 sets being made, though Viltrox isn’t clear if it’s 500 of each lens, 500 total, or 500 sets of three.
Either way, the Fuji faithful should act fast if they want to spruce up the style and color of their camera with these. If you’re into your glass really making an impression outside of its ability to capture great images, these colors are sure to be noticed.
