DJI has updated the DJI Action 2 action camera with new combos that have expanded the camera’s storage capabilities fourfold.
The new Action 2 Dual Screen Combo and Action 2 Power Combo will support 128 GB of internal storage, up from the previous configuration of 32 GB.
With a modular design that includes a swappable front touch screen OLED display, the Action 2 supports 4K video at up to 120 frames per second and four-mic stereo audio capture.

The camera has a 155° field of view with image stabilization and a durable, dust and waterproof design. The camera can be submerged without a waterproof case up to 32 feet (10 meters).
The camera also offers Horizon Steady image stabilization, Timelapse, Slow Motion, and Digital Zoom. The update will give users more space to store their videos and photos while out in the field, without needing frequent transfers.
Longer Battery Life
With up to 160 minutes of battery life, the Action 2 camera module can connect to a hot-swappable Power Module, which provides an additional 180 minutes to capture the action on long shooting days, and a miniSD card slot for even more storage.
Moreover, the 1.76″ Front-Facing Touchscreen OLED screen module has its own built-in lithium polymer battery which can provide 70 minutes of preview and quick settings adjustment.

New accessories
While both Action 2 combos come with a magnetic adapter mount, charging cable, and lanyard, the new configurations add a magnetic headband and magnetic protective case.
In addition to the Front Touchscreen Module, the Dual Screen Combo also includes a ball-joint adapter mount, while the Power Combo includes the optional Power Module.
Other new accessories include an optional waterproof housing for deeper dives up to 197 feet, the DJI Mic support for clear audio capture, a macro lens attachment, and a remote control extension rod. All of which are sold separately.
Pricing and availability
The DJI Action 2 Dual Screen Combo is available now for a retail price of $299. The DJI Action 2 Power Combo retails for $249. Both represent an excellent value versus GoPro’s current Hero 12 Black and Black Mini and even adding the optional accessories brings the camera in under that MSRP.
