RØDE is poised to ship a new version of the Wireless Me system, which includes a second transmitter. It will be available beginning in May 2024.
The RØDE Wireless Me Dual is essentially the same system that builds on the success of its predecessor, the Wireless Me It offers encrypted 2.4GHz digital wireless technology, making it the world’s premier wireless microphone system tailored for mobile smartphone cameras, traditional cameras, and computers.
The Wireless Me has always supported using a second transmitter to capture and record wireless audio. Users have been able to purchase a second transmitter for about $80.
However, the Wireless Me Dual is a turnkey solution that includes an additional transmitter in a kit for a low price point.

The Wireless Me, and its Me Dual variant, operate using fourth-generation RØDELINK 2.4 GHz encrypted transmission, guaranteeing clear recording transmission with a maximum range of over 100 meters.
The Wireless Me design also takes full advantage of RØDE’s new Intelligent Gain Assist technology, which provides hassle-free audio level control without the worry of clipping or interference.
Additionally, the Wireless Me Dual system boasts compatibility with the new RØDE Interview Pro Microphone, further expanding its capabilities.

The RØDE Wireless Me Dual System is a good option as a starting point for those who are new to content creation, use a smartphone or DSLR, or are on a tight budget.
However, it has the downside of not recording a backup onboard track and relies entirely on the camera to save the audio. Additionally, it doesn’t come with a rechargeable carrying case, and it would be wise for RØDE to offer one as an after-purchase accessory.
Third-party charging cases are available for around $50, but their fit and function may vary depending on the manufacturer. Despite these shortcomings, the RØDE Wireless Me and Me Dual System is a decent option for beginners in content creation.
Pricing and availability
The RØDE Wireless Me Dual System is an excellent bargain with a preorder retail price of $199. It consists of two wireless transmitters, a receiver/microphone module, two dead cat furries, cords, and a soft carrying pouch.
Those who don’t need a second transmitter can opt for the single transmitter system, priced at $149.
However, likely, users who choose the cheaper option will soon outgrow it and need to upgrade to the Dual configuration with the Wireless Pro Microphone System, since it also has a second transmitter, Gain Assist, and a rechargeable case.
The RØDE Interview Pro is listed for preorder at $249. Shipping for the RØDE Wireless Me Dual and the RØDE Interview Pro is scheduled for May 2024.
