ZHIYUN has announced the launch of its fifth-generation Smooth 5E smartphone gimbal under the Cinepeer line.
This new gimbal features an improved design, enhanced roll-axis motors for easier low-angle shots, upgraded reactive control buttons for one-handed operation, and integration with the Apple Watch, allowing users to track their shots remotely.

The Cinepeer Smooth 5E utilizes an orthogonal three-axis design, which provides a broader range of motion along with five professional shooting modes for cinematic image stabilization while in action.
It offers a tilt and roll range of 349° and a full 360° pan range.
Users can easily capture extremely low-angle shots in any mode, while the responsive roll-axis motors ensure natural and stable footage without obstruction.
The gimbal also features standard and wide-angle selfie modes, along with the capability to lock onto and track a subject with a simple button press.
With an ergonomically designed handle, the Smooth 5E allows for easy one-handed control.
Advanced AI algorithms facilitate effortless content capture with a professional touch.
The gimbal includes five professional shooting modes: Follow, Pan Follow, Lock, Vortex, and Point of View.

An optional magnetic AI tracking module is available, quickly and accurately identifying and tracking moving subjects.
This module can even respond to hand gestures, enabling solo content creators to be on camera without requiring a secondary crew member to operate the controls.
For low-light situations, the Cinepeer Smooth 5E includes an integrated fill light with a high color rendering index (CRI), providing up to 680 lux of brightness.
Users can even add up to two additional lights to evenly illuminate a scene, reaching a total brightness of 2040 lux.
ZHIYUN has also incorporated remote monitoring and control through the Apple Watch, which allows users to zoom, track, and monitor shots from their wrist.
This feature streamlines setup and ensures users remain within the frame from a distance.
Users can additionally utilize the ZY Cami and StayCam apps for further controls, including one-tap editing, focus peaking, the addition of LUTs, and gesture controls.
The gimbal features a monochrome display and a SMART mode as well.

With an impressive all-day battery life from its 2600 mAh rechargeable battery, the Smooth 5E operates for up to 26 hours, or 7 hours with the built-in fill light and AI tracking module active, and just over two hours with up to three fill lights.
Recharging takes between 2 to 3.5 hours.
