GoPro cameras have taken not only the world of enthusiast video and photography by storm, but also the professional video world. More and more productions are going for the “POV look” in an attempt to capture an authentic experience and draw the viewer even more into the story. With the release of the GoPro Hero4 Black, 4K capture is a possibility, but much more than that, those smaller devices are becoming a “de-facto” permanent fixture in camera professional’s bags. More often than not, those would be expected to have their A-camera, accompanies by the always present DSLR and a GoPro for that low-angle car shot or snapped to the side of the quarter panel for an action shot.
Professional accessories for the GoPro style action cameras are plenty, and now PolarPro, a professional-grade GoPro action camera and imaging accessory company, has announced the expansion of its accessories line up to include a new style of GoPro extension pole in addition to more accessories that can be used by enthusiasts and professionals alike. Check out our writeup on their other extension pole accessory for the GoPro – the PowerPole here.
Very often “selfie” style reverse POV shots can be a bit tricky to get right, as usually the mounting pole would get into the shot due to the wide-angle perspective of the GoPro lens. However, the new waterproof extension pole accessory by PolarPro is here to solve that issue.
The PolarPro NoShow compacts to 14 inches and extends out to 38 inches for capturing immersive shots of your adventures. Elevating the GoPro above the pole, the included 6 inch tip extension captures less of the pole, and more of your epic adventure. From the durable rubber grip to the durable aluminium construction, the NoShow will withstand the harshest of conditions.
“We realised in order to develop a new style pole, it would need to be progressive with strong design elements. Luckily our team is very aggressive with testing, so the NoShow was put through the ringer, underwent some design changes, and is now launching as one of the strongest, most useful poles on the market” explains Austen Butler, Vice President of PolarPro.
NoShow is available at a variety of outlets, as well as, PolarPro’s website with and is currently retailing for $49.99.
