Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 15.3 Update Released

Blackmagic Design have just released the latest Resolve 15.3 update to their popular editing, grading, VFX and audio post-production suite just a couple of days after the BMPCC 4K got Blackmagic RAW with Camera Update 6.2. Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 15.3 Update gets support for the newly announced Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 camera and the latest version of Blackmagic RAW 1.3.

This update also improves support for audio metadata such as clip volume, panning, track volume and automation when exporting AAF files. In addition, in DaVinci Resolve 15.3 Blackmagic Design software engineers have also improved high frame rate timecode support for EXR clips. Windows users can benefit from more improvements in DaVinci Resolve 15.3 such as better AAC audio handling as well as improved Wacom tablet responsiveness.

As we move closer to NAB 2019, I am sure that Blackmagic Design will have an even bigger update to Resolve in early April, as it was suggested by CEO Grant Petty. NAB has been a popular forum for Blackmagic Design to unveil major new versions or updates to DaVinci Resolve, so to see a new version or a mega update will not be far from the norm and rather expected. Until then, check out what’s new in DaVinci Resolve 15.3 below.
