ARRI Releases ALEXA Mini LF SUP 6.0.20 Firmware Update

ARRI just released a new remedial firmware update for the ALEXA Mini LF. Dubbed ALEXA Mini LF SUP 6.0.20,

The latest firmware update contains no new features as those remain the way there were in the previous ALEXA Mini LF SUP 6.0.16, however, the new firmware does add significant improvements to the reliability of the camera as well as a few bug fixes.

An example of such improvements in the slight speed reduction of the build-in filter movement in order to further improve the reliability of the Full Spectrum ND filter slider. SUP 6.0.20 also fixes a few bugs with the Magnification function, where values would not be correctly recalled after a reboot and/or a factory reset.

SUP 6.0.20 Upgrade Notes

ARRI do recommend all ALEXA Mini LF owners/rental houses update their cameras to the latest Alexa Mini LF SUP 6.0.20. However, as usual ARRI don’t recommend you install a new firmware update if you are in the middle of a production.

ALEXA Mini LF SUP 6.0.20 can be installed on all previously shipped ALEXA Mini LF cameras: pre-production PP-1 (6.0.4), pre-production PP-2 (6.0.11) as well as production cameras (6.0.15 and 6.0.16).

To download ALEXA Mini LF SUP 6.0.20 head over to ARRI.

The ALEXA Mini LF has already been on some major film productions, the first of which is “1917” an epic-one-shot war drama, lensed by the legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins, who’s a huge fan of the camera and ARRI cameras in general.
