Atomos are celebrating their 10th anniversary by offering the award-winning Ninja V 5-inch HDR monitor recorder for $649 which is $50 OFF the original price. Over the last decade, the company launched a multitude of state-of-the-art monitoring and recording solutions including Samurai, Ninja Assassin, Shogun 7, Shinobi, Ninja V, just to name a few.
Now, Ninja V combines everything the company have learned over the years by combining up to 4K60p ProRes and AVID DNxHR recording, Apple ProRes RAW recording over HDMI up to 6K30p, 1000nit calibrated high brightness HDR display, modules for wireless sync and SDI input and output and a full range of monitoring tools, all in a rugged shell that is built for the rigors of daily production.
The Atomos journey started with the release of the original Ninja HD HDMI monitor recorder a decade ago, bringing Apple ProRes recording to an affordable camera-top device that was also a monitor. That way, the device unlocked much higher quality recording from many cameras, especially DSLRs. It also made Atomos a bridge between the camera world and computing world.
The superior ProRes files produced made for much easier editing and post-processing in NLEs like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and AVID Media Composer. Fast forward a decade and Atomos have also led the way with a series of products and technologies that have changed the industry for the better.
Atomos brought 4K recording to mirrorless cameras for the first time with either the Ninja Assassin or Shogun combined with Sony A7S. They have also led the way with on-camera HDR monitoring and by changing the industry again recently with the launch of ProRes RAW recording from a wide range of popular cinema cameras.
The company promises that 2020 will be full of new exciting opportunities by inviting all creative professionals to be part of their anniversary celebrations, so stay tuned for many more surprises throughout the whole year.
