Delkin Rolls Out the World’s First 2TB CFexpress Memory Card

It seems that CFexpress technology is moving pretty fast these days. Delkin Devices just announced the world’s first 2TB CFexpress Type B memory card.

In essence, it doubles the capacity of the existing CFexpress cards while delivering the same top-of-the-line speed and performance with read and write speeds up to 1730MB/s and 1430MB/s respectively.

These blazingly fast speeds should be more than enough to handle 8K video recording and continuous RAW shooting at high frame rates. Delkin has extensively tested their latest offering with compatible cameras like the Canon 1D X Mark III, Nikon Z6 and Z7, Panasonic S1 and S1R.

The upcoming Canon EOS R5 and the recently released Nikon D6 could also take advantage of the top-notch performance and large capacity of the newly released 2TB CFexpress card. The latter joins the existing 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models which provide the same speed and performance except for the entry-level 128GB counterpart.

In addition to the industry standard lifetime warranty, Delkin also offers a 48-hour replacement of each broken card prior to receiving the non-working card which makes it the only company that currently has such a customers’ program.

There’s still no word on when the 2TB card will be available for purchase, nor we know how much it will cost yet, but it’s safe to assume that it will be over $1,000. To learn more about Delkin’s latest memory cards, head over to the Delkin Devices official website here.
