Vegas Creative Software has announced the integration of BorisFX Mocha tracking into its flagship video editing and composite software suite.
Vegas Pro 21 is a cloud-enabled suite that offers editing, compositing, and video effects, and now with the integration of Mocha Vegas, offers a powerful planar tracker with built-in motion tracking and image stabilization.
In partnership with BorisFX, Mocha VEGAS is specifically designed to support Vegas Pro 21 and includes a custom interface for instant access to the app’s sophisticated planar tracking technology.

Tracking data is instantly available and applied in multiple ways including tracking and image stabilization, and offers what Vegas promises impressive results for users of all skill levels.
The tracking app isn’t the only new feature in Vegas Pro 21 either.
Other key new features include a Smart Masking plugin, which will analyze each video frame and then harness artificial intelligence to identify and track individual objects which allows you to then use the Bézier Masking plugin for advanced compositing.
The masks can also be fully adjustable to compensate for any inaccuracies as the mask moves from frame to frame.

Next comes a Z-Depth OFX Plugin and Compositor, which users can then deploy to separate the foreground from the background layer.
Once again using AI, the Z-Depth plugin can then be used to place text in the foreground or the background, or to adjust the background for refined bokeh or color correction.

Creators can also add time-based adjustments to a timeline including video effects using the Adjustment Events tool. Video events can be timed for effects processing and can be dialed in dynamically over time.
Vegas Pro 21 also comes with a cloud-based text-to-speech option, which has been optimized and powered by Cloud-based computing for expanded support for additional languages, accents, tones, and voices.

Other new features that round out the update include new transitions and video effects, such as offset and wrap plugging, motion-based sliding, directional scaling, mirroring, and a static wipe tool.
The tool can be combined with the Adjustment Events plugging to create interesting transitions.
Lastly, there is a quick upload function, which allows you to drag and drop files to the VEGAS Hub File Drop. This allows for fast and easy backups, as well as sharing of files across multiple devices.
Pricing and availability
The Vegas Pro 21 Creative Software Suite is available for $34.99 a month or $191 annually. Users can also buy a perpetual license for $299. For perpetual license members, the Upgrade version is available for $199.
The Suite comes with Vegas Pro 21, Sound Forge Audio Studio, Acid Music Studio, Mocha VEGAS, BorisFX Primatte Studio, 50GB of cloud storage for monthly and annual subscribers, the Cloud-based Text to speech tool, and 20 royalty-free HD video clips from VEGAS Content.
Users can also buy Vegas Pro Edit for $19.99 a month or $143.88 annually, or $199 for the perpetual license. Vegas Pro Post is $44.99 a month, just under $300 annually, or $399 for a lifetime subscription. For perpetual license members, the Upgrade version is available for $299.
Vegas Pro Edit comes with Vegas Pro 21, Vegas Effects, Vegas Imagine for Raw Image compositing, Sound Forge Pro, Acid Pro, Mocha VEGAS, BorisFX Primatte Studio, the Cloud Text tool, and unlimited access to 4K and HD video and audio clips from Vegas Content. Users also get 100 GB of Cloud storage in the subscription plan.
