ZhiyunTech has just announced a new ultra-compact video light design that offers not only color ratings just under 100 on the TLCI scale but with an active cooling system built in, it can cool for nearly an hour between charges.
The COB light produces 60 watts of power output and can stay lit at full power for 50 minutes before recharging.
The Molus X60 is a bi-color with a temperature range of 2700-6500 K and offers a CRI rating of 95 and a TLCI rating of 97.

Meanwhile, its RGB twin, the Molus X60 RGB, surpasses that color accuracy rating with a TLCI rating of 98 and a similar CFI of 95.

Fitting in the palm of a shooter’s hand, the Molus X60 casts a color-accurate beam of light rated at 2680 Lux at 3.3 feet and 6500K.
It has been designed chiefly for social media content creators, one-man crews, and Vloggers looking for a lightweight and compact lighting option that can be deployed on the run and almost anywhere.
The Molus X60’s DynaVort MKII active cooling system is one of the smallest in its class, while successfully dissipating heat and lengthening the chip on board LED’s useful lifetime.
Moreover, the light can be powered by either the supplied power adapter, an optional cable, or the optional battery grip houses a rechargeable, 2550 mAh battery for quick power changes when out in the field.

Through Zhiyun’s ZY Vega app, users can completely control the light via Bluetooth connection, adjusting brightness across the entire CCT range with 0-100% dimming.
Light effects can also be employed such as SOS, paparazzi, TV, bad bulb, lightning, CCT pulse, CCT loop, CCT flash, and candle preset effects. The light also has a standard lighting mode and a music mode which will sync the light to the music being played.

The X60 has dimensions of 3.9 x 2.8 x 2.2″ (10 x 7.1 x 5.6 cm), or 5.8 x 3.7 x 2.4″ (14.7 x 9.5 x 6.1 cm) when coupled with the side mounted grip battery. Each light weighs between .7 lb (319g) – 1.5 lb (683g).
The X60 comes with a mini reflector, diffusion dome, and power adapter with cable. Featuring Zhiyu’s proprietary ZY Mount, the X60 can also support various Bowens-mounted accessories through the optional Bowens Mount adapter.
The light can also be affixed to a light stand through the 1/4-20 female threaded mount on its base.

The Zhiyun Molus X60 Bi-0Color LED COB Light has a preorder retail price of $199, while the X60 RGB LED light will cost $249.
