Panasonic EVA1 Firmware 2.5 and “Share Your Vision” Contest

Panasonic were at Cine Gear Expo 2018 with loads of kit including their EVA1, and did announce a new firmware update for the camera. Firmware update 2.5 for Panasonic EVA1 5.7K cinema camera brings a new SMOOTH mode for noise reduction designed to enable cinematographers to capture low noise images without need for additional post processing.

In addition for those of you looking to save some money on the Atomos Shogun Inferno, which you’d need if you want to record 5.7K ProRes Raw soon (the Sumo19 can do it now), when you purchase it together with the EVA1 you can save some $$$ by buying the Atomos Shogun + EVA1 kit together at $8,635 (B&H / Adorama links). This kit also gets you 2 x free 64GB SD cards. Offer ends 6/30 and is ships to the US only.
