Popular accessory maker Tilta just announced their new camera cage for the Z-CAM.
The tiny powerhouse of a camera recently got a little brother – the Z-CAM E2C, which is a more stripped down-version (at least feature-wise) with a super-affordable $799 price tag, making it easily the cheapest entry-level digital cinema camera on the market. Back to the new Tilta cage – the Tilta Z-CAM cage shares the customizable and design DNA of Tilta’s BMPCC 4K cage (which you can read more about in this post here) providing complete protective armour for the petite Z-CAM E2 full-frame camera body while providing several 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 mounting points as well as two ARRI rosette mounting points and one cold shoe mounting point.

The Tilta Z-CAM cage is made out of durable aluminium allow and stainless steel for a good balance between portability and strength. The base of the cage also provides several mounting holes when attaching your camera to gimbals to more easily fine tune the balance of your setup.
A variety of different baseplates can be attached to the bottom of the cage, allowing for various rod mounting and optional power supply configurations. The quick release top handle and various optional side handles can be attached to the cage to provide for different ways to comfortably operate your camera setup.
There are various kits of the Z CAM cage supports both the Z CAM E2 and E2C cameras, starting from $129 and going up to $499 for the Tilta Z CAM Kit C (which is the same as Kit B, but with the 15mm LWS baseplate). The Tiltaing Z-CAM Kit B, I believe will be quite popular with creatives that already have their own baseplates (Kit B is pictured below):
