SmallHD has announced a new all-weather, ultra-bright flagship monitor in the Ultra 7.
Designed to provide the same performance as SmallHD’s elite 4K monitors, the Ultra 7 incorporates wireless technology courtesy of Teradek’s Bolt 6 wireless platform.

The heartbeat of the 7-inch Ultra 7 touchscreen monitor designed with edge-lit LEDs to emit 2300 nits of full-screen luminance with a resolution of 1920×1200 and the purest possible color accuracy.
The touchscreen uses PageOS 5.0 to easily access camera data no matter how bright the environment is. The monitor also has a quick-release sun hood embedded in the design, which can extend to provide anti-reflective three or four-sided protection, while protecting the monitor’s glass screen when not in use.

Encased in a durable high-impact chassis, the Ultra 7 is IP certified to IP53 for protection against liquids and fine particles. Moreover, the monitor is kept cool thanks to a new thermal management system that keeps the monitor operating at nominal temperatures ranging from 0ºC to 40ºC (32-104° F).
The Ultra 7 also operates wirelessly, thanks to the integration of Teradek Bolt 6 transmitter and receiver circuitry. This integration also includes a rugged antenna designed to provide up to a 1500-foot range across the 6 GHz WiFi spectrum.
Optional handles, a Wooden Camera Micro Battery Plate for either GM, VM, or B-mounted batteries, and a padded strap are included in the Ultra 7 RX model.

There is also an integrated Ethernet and 5-pin lockable USB port for use with other camera control options integrated with cinema cameras such as ARRI, RED, and Sony VENICE cameras.
HDMI 2.0 in and out, 6G-SDI input, and dual 2-pin locking connectors round out the Ultra 7’s connectivity options. The Ultra 7 can also store up to 33 LUTs, and provide firmware updates through its SD Card Slot.

Pricing and Availability
The Small HD Ultra 7 camera monitor is available for preorder with a retail price starting at $2,999, with its delivery date listed as “Coming Soon.”
SmallHD will be showcasing the Ultra 7, along with its other high-end 4K monitors at the BSC Expo in London, through the Creative Solutions Booth, Stand #104.
