Vocas has been cooking new pro camera accessories for some time for just about any S35 pro camera out there in the past few years. They have awesome kits for the Sony FS7, RED cameras, Canon EOS Cinema cameras such as the top dog Canon C700, C300 Mark II and the latest Canon C200, and now the new kid on the block – the Panasonic AU-EVA1 is getting the Vocas treatment.
The camera by itself is alright, it is compact and quite ergonomic, but to get it up to production standards and get it ready for the rigours and ever-increasing demands of DPs, Vocas has prepared a few universal and also dedicated accessories to make your Panasonic AU-EVA1 more ergonomic and easier to deal with on set.

Handgrip Rosette Adapter for EVA1
Vocas developed a handgrip rosette adapter for the Panasonic AU-EVA1, which is quite helpful, as I am sure some you know that the rosette attachment on the handgrip on the EVA1 is a Panasonic proprietary design and not a standard rosette style.
The Vocas adapter makes the original Panasonic handgrip compatible with all standard rosette accessories. You would also need a LANC extender cable if you are relocating the handgrip like in the photo above. The Vocas handgrip rosette adapter for the EVA1 is currently priced at €125.
Viewfinder bracket kit for Panasonic AU-EVA1
The Vocas viewfinder bracket kit for Panasonic AU-EVA1 has been designed to replace the original viewfinder bracket of this camera. This bracket is using a NATO rail system to connect the camera to the viewfinder and prevents the viewfinder from “twisting”, which can result in a crooked horizon of the image. The Vocas viewfinder bracket for the EVA1 is priced at €180 (list). Best to get in touch with your local reseller for pricing in your local currency.
Top H-Cheese Plate for Panasonic AU-EVA1
The new Vocas H-cheese plate has been specifically designed for the Panasonic AU-EVA1 and can be used in combination with the original top handgrip of the camera as well as the already existing Vocas top handgrips. It provides the user many accessory attachment points on the top of the camera. Pricing has been set at €155 at the moment.
MFC-3(F) Follow Focus System
Vocas unveiled their latest MFC-3(F) follow focus system at IBC 2017 and of course it is also compatible with the new Panasonic AU-EVA1 camera. This follow focus system is unique because the focus knob and drive gear consist of only one part, so there is no transmission in the new MFC-3(F). The “F” in MFC-3F stands for adjustable friction.
Rotating the red knob allows you to fine tune the internal friction of the MFC-3F to your own preference. Check out our post on the MFC-3 follow focus for more details or head over to Vocas for specs.
Vocas Pro Rail Support Type P
The new Vocas Pro rail support fits the Panasonic AU-EVA1 like a glove and provides the camera with front and rear rails at the same time. The Type P Rail system is quite compact and also provides the EVA1 with a compact shoulder pad. Pricing starts at €275 for the Pro rail support, and the compact 15mm shoulder support is €195.
Users can flip the clamping block of the shoulder support upside down thus allowing the rails to go across the top of the Pro rail support. This allows users to add additional accessories.
The height of the Pro rail support can be adjusted, making it not only suitable for the for the Panasonic AU-EVA1, but also for cameras such as Sony PXW-FS5 and Canon EOS C200.
